                   memory access driver for Group3 Control

            for Group3 ISA bus Loop Controller Cards (LC1 and LC3)

Files:
  The ISA NT/2000 installation contains the following files:
    G3LCDRV.INI             instalation script for REGINI.EXE
    G3LCDRV.SYS             Windows NT/2000 run-time driver
    INSTALL.TXT             this file
    REGINI.EXE              installation tool

BOARD Identification:
  The Group3 PCI and ISA loop controller cards are easily distinguishable:
    PCI loop controller card:
      Each card has a rotary switch on the top edge of the circuit board.
      Each card has six circular holes on the rear metal bracket.
    ISA loop controller card:
      Each card has a set of jumpers on the circuit board.
      Each card has one or three elliptical hole on the rear metal bracket.

    For information on installing Group3 ISA bus Loop Controllers refer to
    the README.TXT file on this disk.

Installation:
 1. Copy the files G3LCDRV.SYS, G3LCDRV.INI, and REGINI.EXE from the floppy
    drive (ISA_NT directory) to the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS directory on
    the hard drive.

 2. In a DOS window, make \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS the current directory.

 3. Type "regini g3lcdrv.ini".  This will register the driver with the
    operating system.

 4. Restart the computer to load and activate the memory driver.

Verification:
 1. Run REGEDIT.EXE (click the Start menu, click Run, type "regedit", press
    Enter) and inspect the
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services branch
    for a "G3LCDRV" entry.
 2. Run the program "LC_TEST.EXE" on the floppy disk.  It will display
    a list of loop controllers installed in the computer using the installed
    drivers.

Removal:
 1.  From the Windows "Control Panel" select "Devices".  Scroll down and
     select "G3LCDRV".  Press "Startup", select "Disabled" then press OK.
     Press "Close" then close the "Control Panel" window.
 2. Delete the files installed in 1 above.
